Who We Are

All Out SPL is brought to you by Donald Hebig, also known in the car audio universe as dB Don. Because Don is the only certified dB Drag Racing Judge in Western Canada, All Out SPL is the only authorized 3x show promoter in Western Canada. You can book Don for certified dB Drag Racing Events where competitors can gain points to add to their over all season score. Don does not just come out and judge a show, he brings you an event.

The Man Behind it All

Donald Hebig has been in the car audio industry for over 18+ years. From Canadian records in the early Slam Jam to dB Drag. 1991-1998 held Canada's loudest vehicle with team members. From running a small car audio shop in the early 90's, to managing multiple car audio installation bays over the years and training some of the best installers in Canada.  dB Don has made a name for himself as one of the best box designers and installers in North America. Some of the enclosure and extreme cabin innovations are still incorporated in todays complex designs. Don has also written articles for PAS magazine when they first began, covering the tech articles and the dB Drag world finals articles.

Mobile Dynamics, MECP  Master certified among other 12v certificates has allowed many installers who wanted to enter the industry to learn the trade from Don and move on with their own certification.

Early this century Don began building his own line of subwoofers marketed as the Beyond Audio line through his company called Inhuman Audio. The line became known world wide for quality and customization you just couldn't get anywhere else.  Some of the current Subwoofers sold today are from former reps or customers doing their own subwoofers. Don paved the way for custom ordered subwoofers built specific to each persons application.

In 2005 Don pulled out from the car audio industry due to medical reasons. After years of seeing different doctors and taking different medications to control the pain, Don was diagnosed with cancer.

After the surgery it was discovered that if it they hadn't been able to get all the cancer Don would not be here today, as the type of cancer he had, after they analyzed what they took out, did not respond to chemo or radiation. Surgery was the only option. After 2 years the cancer has not returned and Don is back doing what he loves...car audio. After years of being a shop owner, installer and manufacturer Don decided he was going to focus on  brining car audio back to Western Canada.  Of course none of this would have went so smoothly without his lovely, caring, smart and very talented wife Ferne.

Our Purpose

The number and quality of car audio shows had deteriorated in the last 10 years and Don decided enough was enough. It was time to have shows again that everyone could compete in from the beginner to the pros. Shows where folks would compete and actually have FUN! Where competitors would help and support each other with a sense of community and co-operation. Where the prizes were unique and worth winning. Reviving the spirit of competition. Being a part of dB Drag since 1995 and attending almost a dozen world finals, it was natural to get behind dB Drag. So Don attended the dB Drag Racing World Finals event in the U.S. in the fall of 2008 to become a certified dB Drag Racing judge.

Don also re-wrote the rules for the new dB Drag format called Psychlone and ran it for the first time at the 2009 World finals. A format which will bring competition back to its roots. Entry level to massive daily systems with the sound, control, the install and finally the ability to throw down some crazy low end bass.  This format features a world first breakthrough in points bonus for the lower bass you use to compete with for the spl portion.

After the first introductory season of shows Don has worked out the kinks and is now ready to jump in full steam ahead. As the only judge in Western Canada to judge at World Finals in the fall of 2009, dB Don is now the only certified judge in Western Canada. With the demand for shows on the rise it appears that  the future of car audio competition in Western Canada has a bright future ahead.
